The Galaxy Tab tablet computers are designed by the Korean company Samsung. The first version (GT-P1000) was presented at IFA 20102. Then a second Galaxy Tab, the 10.1 was announced in Barcelona in February 2011 followed by 8.9, 7.7 and the galaxy tab 2 10.1 in May 2012
Two months after its release, the Samsung Galaxy Tab has sold more than 600,000 units. Initially, the tablet was delivered Android 2.2 FroYo but thanks to an update, it now has Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Version 10.1 was announced in February 2011. It has Android 3.1 Honeycomb (10.1) and a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor 1 GHz ARM with 1GB RAM5. It is distributed from June 2011.
The 7.0 Plus version 7.7 and are announced in late 2011. They also come with Android Honeycomb, but an ARM Cortex-A9 dual-core Samsung Exynos processor, respectively 1.4 GHz and 1.2 GHz. The 7.7 comprises a Super AMOLED Plus display. Both models are available in versions Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi +3 G.
